what to wear to your engagement session | Five simple tips

1. COMFORT IS KEY

Take time putting together your outfits. You want to feel comfortable with the outfits you have chosen for your session! When you are comfortable, you are highly more likely to be more confident during your session.

2. FORMAL OUTFIT

Your first outfit choice will be a more formal/dressier outfit. This is your chance to fully dress up so take advantage and go all out! Its not often you get this opportunity, the dressier the better so please don’t ever think you are over dressed. A nice jacket and a dressy shirt with a collar for him, and a classy dress for you! We recommend that you avoid wearing the exact same color.

3. CASUAL OUTFIT CHOICE

Now that we’ve gotten formalities out the way it’s time to have some fun! This is the part of your session where the two of you will be a little more relaxed. You will share a kiss (or two, or three…), you will laugh A LOT, dance and enjoy each fun little moment together. For this part of your session you will want to wear something more casual. For you, we’d suggest maybe a pair of jeans and a cute top or a beautiful flowy dress. For him a button up shirt and maybe some khaki pants.

4. COORDINATE NOT MATCH

Choose colors that compliment one another.We absolutely love blush, blues and whites. Don’t be afraid to wear a dress with a pattern but then we’d recommend that he wears an alternate solid color shirt. Soft colors photograph the best with our photography style.

5. ACCESSORIES ADD DIMENSION

You’ve picked out your outfits, coordinated your colors and now you may want to add in a little accessory or two! A hat is the perfect prop to add in for a few fun portraits
